Mr. Barry is a founder and Managing Partner of Two River Ventures LLC, a structuring and capital advisory firm that provides non-dilutive growth capital solutions to fast growing technology and ESG companies. 

 

Mr. Barry is has nearly 20 years of experience in developing Financial Services sales and trading operations from the startup phase, to mature profitable businesses. He previously served as an underwriter and trader of callable structured debt with Mizuho Securities, and ABN-AMRO/LaSalle National Bank. John founded and ran divisions of Amherst Securities, Sovereign Bank and AK Capital.

 

In 2005, he founded Bonds.com, the first "All to All" FINRA registered broker/dealer and licensed Alternative Trading System. As Chairman and CEO, he ushered the company from inception to a publicly traded entity, developing relationships and adding 2200 customer accounts in a 2-year span. Bonds.com was subsequently acquired by the London Stock Exchange in 2014. He has used extensive and diverse experience locating and monetizing inefficiencies that exist within the capital markets construct to provide clients unique investment opportunities.

 

Following the acquisition of Bonds.com, in 2015 John founded Tribal Capital Markets, LLC with Alan Mele and the Morongo Band of Mission Indians to create the largest full service Native American financial services firm in the marketplace. Mr. Barry spearheaded the inception of the DCM, Public Finance and Alternative Credit business lines within the firm. He used his experience as the Lead Banker on several initiatives for Tribal including the debt financing for the expansion of the Morongo Casino via multi-tranche Private Placement, Tax-exempt and Taxable structures.

 

Mr. Barry has been a speaker at Conferences such as the American Bankers Association, Government Finance Officer Association, Credit Union Services Organization, Western Indian Gaming Conference and the Native American Finance Officers Association. Mr. Barry’s current role at the firm is Co-Managing day to day operations of the Alternative Credit business and overseeing the ultimate success of the firm as a Member of the Board of Tribal Capital Partners, LLC. Additionally Mr. Barry is responsible for vetting any New Business Initiatives on behalf of Morongo as well as ensuring that the firm’s growth strategy meets their objectives.
